Programs

GOHS is proud to work with various groups to improve transportation safety.  Find out more about some of the programs in your area.

CAPP Program
The CAPP Program was modeled from an existing program initiated in Tempe in 1994 which partners law enforcement agencies, hospitals, and municipal/justice courts. The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety has partnered with several agencies/hospitals throughout the state.

DRE Program
The Arizona Drug Evaluation and Classification program has received national acclaim for its success in identifying the drug impaired driver. The goal of this program is to train and certify law enforcement personnel as Drug Recognition Experts (DREs).

Impaired Driver Training
Under this training program, three different courses are provided:  Advanced Roadside Impaired Driving Enforcement (A.R.I.D.E.), Drug Impairment Training for Education Professionals (D.I.T.E.P), Drug Evaluation and Classification (DEC) Program.
