Welcome to the Arizona Police Science Journal.
The APSJ Publication has two goals: deliver quality training and useful information to law enforcement professionals, and provide a forum for law enforcement professionals to publish quality scientific research papers.
The APSJ is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published twice yearly. APSJ contains relevant scientific and legal topics and papers that directly relate to law enforcement.
ASPJ is accessible to not only law enforcement, but also the general public. This is an open access journal.
Our mission is one, to provide timely and relevant scientific and legal based training for Law Enforcement and two, provide Law Enforcement with a forum to publish high quality, peer-reviewed, scientifically based papers.

The Arizona Police Science Journal publishes peer-reviewed scientific papers, as well as training and legal articles of relevance to law enforcement.
Arizona Police Science Journal publishes twice yearly; one spring issue and one fall issue.
The editorial board is committed to excellence in training and writing. GOHS and the editorial board are committed to making this a continuing source of timely and useful information to criminalists, prosecutors and law enforcement officers.
Any paper or work published in this journal undergoes a rigorous peer-review, editorial review and advisory board review process prior to publication. The editorial staff are committed to helping anyone who needs assistance with submissions, the review process, writing formats, or any other assistance that can be provided.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS
Papers submitted to Arizona Police Science Journal will, if selected, undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. All papers will first be evaluated by the editorial and/or advisory board for quality and relevance to the scope of the publication. Once selected, the paper will be blind peer-reviewed by subject matter experts. The author will not know the identity of the peer-reviewers, nor will the reviewers know the identity of the author. Once peer-reviewed and if necessary modified, the paper will then be reviewed by the editorial board for formatting and cohesiveness. The paper will then be reviewed by the advisory board. Once any changes or modifications are made and the author approves, the paper will be published.
If the article is time sensitive, i.e., evaluating a dynamic drug trend, a special issue may be published containing the article. If you wish to publish in a special issue of this nature, please address this to the editorial board when you submit the paper.
Papers should be submitted to [email protected] in Microsoft Word format. All photographs or images should be labeled by number in the body of the paper and also on or near the image.
If the paper addressed a narrow or special topic, then you may submit along with your paper, a list of three qualified persons able and willing to peer-review your work. The editorial board will make all final decisions on the peer-review process.
Include a cover letter or memorandum that lists all of your contact information.
The submitted paper should include a title page, abstract, introduction, relevant scientific data, results and conclusions, references and acknowledgments (if necessary).
Papers should be prepared or submitted in Microsoft Word format with Times New Romans format in size 12 font, with one inch margins.
References should be in American Psychological Association (APA) format.
Authors are encouraged to provide photographs or images in high resolution color.
Authors are encouraged, but not required, to submit a paragraph length biography along with their paper.
